We met at the University of Galway and ended up living in the same house. Yaz was studying Business Information Systems, Seanie was doing Commerce, and most of the late-night conversations were about the business we would build one day.
Yaz took the long way round. After graduating in 2021 he worked in early-stage investing at The Yield Lab and Blackstone LaunchPad, then went out to the Pilbara mines of Western Australia in 2023 as a scaffolder and trade assistant. The owners he worked beside were brilliant at the job and buried in everything around it: enquiries that came in waves, hours lost chasing people who were never going to book, and no system behind any of it.
Seanie went into enterprise sales after a master's at TU Dublin, selling software into multi-site operators. His job was working out what a business would actually value, buy and keep using. Same problem, seen from the other side of the table.
In February 2025 we put the two together and launched Only Big Jobs. Yaz builds the systems and runs the campaigns. Seanie runs the commercial side, from the first call to the monthly review. Neither of those gets handed to someone else.
Outside work, Yaz trains and fights Muay Thai and Seanie runs long distances (the medal is from a 60 km Hell and Back). Both teach the same thing: the result on the day comes from what you did every week before it. That is how we run your account.
